Quickstart

You can have an agent shipping code in under five minutes.

1. Sign in

Open grasscoding.com and sign in with Google or an email one-time code. New accounts start with a free 10-day trial.

2. Create a project

From the dashboard, choose Connect any repo to wire up an existing GitHub repository, or pick a starter template (React, Next.js, Convex, Supabase, and more). grasscoding provisions a sandboxed VM, clones the repo, runs install, and starts your dev server.

3. Pick an agent

Choose Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor CLI from the project canvas. The first time you use a given agent on a fresh computer, you'll authenticate it with your own provider account.

4. Send your first task

Describe what you want built. The agent edits files in the live editor, runs commands in the terminal, and verifies the change in the preview tab. Examples that work well as first tasks:

  • "Add Google OAuth login to the auth page."
  • "Fix the failing test in billing.test.ts."
  • "Upgrade Tailwind to v4 and update the config."
  • "Set up Stripe checkout with a test product."

5. Drive it from your phone

Connect iMessage (or Slack / Discord / WhatsApp) in project settings. Reply to the agent like a teammate — it picks up the thread, runs the task on the same computer, and sends back the preview link when it's done.

System requirements

grasscoding runs entirely in the browser — there is nothing to install locally. We recommend a recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or any Chromium-based browser. iMessage relays require iOS or macOS with iMessage signed in to a phone number or email you've verified with us.
